At StylzPlus Beauty and Hair Concepts, our top priority is maintaining the health and integrity of your scalp and hair. That’s why we begin every service with a thorough consultation, discussing your lifestyle, health, and hobbies to determine the best approach for your individual needs—whether it’s caring for your natural hair or opting for a protective style. We also recommend clients return 2 to 3 weeks after getting their protective style or install for maintenance, and to avoid wearing the style beyond 6 to 8 weeks to ensure proper care.
The installation time depends on the style. A sew-in with leave-out typically takes up to 2 hours, while a full sew-in without any leave-out can take around 2.5 hours. The exact time may vary based on your hair and specific style preferences.
The amount of hair you need depends on the style you’re looking to achieve. For a full sew-in, we typically recommend 2-3 packs of hair for a natural, voluminous look. If you’re going for longer lengths or a fuller style, you may need up to 4 packs. Our stylists can guide you on the best amount based on your desired look.
Yes, if your hair is natural, you can still get a sew-in. If you choose to leave some hair out, with the right products and maintenance, you’ll typically only need to flat iron your leave-out once a week for touch-ups. We also offer several options to help maintain your leave-out and ensure it blends seamlessly with your desired bundle texture, including silk presses and texture-matching treatments. Alternatively, you can opt for no leave-out by choosing styles like a lace closure, full sew-in, invisible part, or crochet braids.
Yes, we offer specialized hair replacement techniques for clients experiencing thinning or alopecia. Our expert stylists will assess your hair and scalp to determine the best solution, whether it’s a sew-in or a non-surgical hair replacement option, tailored to your specific needs.
We recommend coming into the salon for a safe and professional weave removal. Our experienced stylists will carefully remove your weave and provide a thorough shampoo to cleanse and revitalize your natural hair. The service is available for $55.
A full sew-in covers your entire head, with all of your natural hair braided down and completely covered by extensions, giving you a full, uniform look. A partial sew-in leaves a portion of your natural hair out, typically at the crown or along the hairline, to blend with the extensions and create a more natural look. The choice between the two depends on the desired style and how much of your natural hair you want to leave exposed.
A net is used during weave installations to provide added support and protection for your natural hair. It helps secure the weave in place, reduces tension on the scalp, and can prolong the life of your installation, especially for clients with thinner or fragile hair. It also allows for better air circulation to the scalp, promoting healthier hair underneath.
Yes, your sew-in can be shampooed. We recommend coming in 3-4 weeks after your initial service for maintenance. This includes a shampoo with sulfate-free products, conditioning, any necessary tightening or adjustments, and thorough drying of your braids under a hooded dryer. We’ll then style your hair to ensure it looks fresh and new again. This service starts at $115.
We sell and use unprocessed 100% raw and virgin hair bundles that can last up to two years with proper care and can be reinstalled. We also offer bundle deals that include both the hair and installation, with prices starting at $300. The quality of our hair far exceeds what you would find at your local beauty supply store, but you are welcome to bring your own hair if you prefer.
Our first priority is the health of your hair and scalp, which is why we offer a variety of scalp treatments. As a full-service salon, we also provide relaxers, cuts, colors, silk presses, body waves, cold perms, straightening treatments, and much more to meet all your beauty needs.
If your weave is feeling itchy, we recommend scheduling a visit with one of our experienced stylists. They’ll assess your scalp, hair, and installation, and provide personalized care techniques to help soothe your scalp and ensure your weave remains comfortable and healthy.
